 September 2011 We are pleased to announce that on September 21, 2011 Anna Kicinger presented
 to the Council of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Sciences of the University of Warsaw her  doctoral
 dissertation on "Polish migration policy, 1918 - 2004". The dissertation was approved unanimously.
 Congratulations! The supervisor was Professor Dariusz Stola. The dissertation was based on the results
 of the project Polish Migration Policy: its principles and legal aspects funded by the BMU Foundation. 
 January 2011 IOM's study on Migration, Employment and Labour Market Integration Policies in
 the European Union (2000-2009) has been released online. The study explores the labour market impact of migration
 as well as the role of migrant admission and employment policies in Europe. Anna Kicinger is the author of the chapter
 on Poland. The publication is available 
 here.
7.12.2010 During the ESPON conference   Rozwoj terytorialny oparty na wiedzy  (Evidence-based territorial
 development) in Warsaw, Marek Kupiszewski presented the results of the project DEMIFER
 - Demographic and migratory flows affecting European regions and cities. [Conference program]
November 2010 The Australian Research Council awarded a grant for Comparing internal migration in countries around the world: measures,
 theories and policy dimensions. Professor Martin Bell of the University of Queensland is the project leader and
 John Stillwell (University of Leeds), Yu Zhu (Fujian Normal University) and Marek Kupiszewski (IOM/CEFMR) 
are co-investigators. 
November 2010 An interview with Marek Kupiszewski on Economic Effects of Migration in Central Europe has been published
 in "The Forum. Discussing International Affairs and Economics"
